The CEO of Zanjan Province Industrial Towns Company, Mostafa Almasi, emphasizes the critical role of serious attention to workplace safety in reducing accidents within production units. He outlined their vision to achieve safer work environments, free from serious incidents, through continuous training and strict adherence to standards.

According to Jadeh Makhsoos news agency, safety remains a paramount concern for industries and manufacturing units. Neglecting this vital aspect can lead to irreparable damages. Zanjan Province Industrial Towns Company has implemented targeted programs in recent years, taking effective steps in this crucial area.

The company’s proactive measures include conducting energy audits and identifying high-risk units. They have also sent safety recommendations to all units. Furthermore, they regularly hold training courses and form joint committees with the General Department of Labor and Industry.

These comprehensive efforts have significantly reduced industrial accidents. They have also earned the company top safety honors. An Irna reporter recently interviewed Mostafa Almasi, CEO of Zanjan Province Industrial Towns Company, to discuss these achievements.

Jadeh Makhsoos reports, when asked about the number of active industrial towns, Almasi stated, “Currently, we have 26 approved industrial towns and zones in the province. In 18 of these, the government allocates facilities and land for industrial units.” He added, “Last year, the province had 21 approved industrial towns and zones. Following efforts to develop the province’s industry, authorities announced the creation of five new industrial towns.”

Regarding key actions for workplace safety, Almasi explained, “We have prepared safety identification documents for all industrial towns and conducted safety audits. We have also sent safety recommendations to all units and identified high-risk units.” He continued, “Even some industrial towns, despite urban access, have equipped themselves with infrastructure like fire stations and medical centers. We also regularly hold training courses to enhance skills and knowledge in personal and workplace health and safety. Tripartite committee meetings with the General Department of Labor and Industry convene continuously. These actions have helped us earn top safety honors.”

When asked about the reduction in industrial accidents, Almasi confirmed, “Fortunately, statistics show a significant decrease in accidents within the province’s industrial towns. We send weekly accident lesson reports to all units to transfer experiences and prevent similar incidents.” He concluded, “This process has increased our motivation for further actions, and we hope to see the complete elimination of serious accidents soon.”

Discussing the required shift in perspective for serious workplace safety, Almasi emphasized, “People usually consider humans as one of the production factors alongside machinery and equipment. However, I believe humans are the core of production. If we consider humans as the core, then laws and policies must also be designed based on this. This perspective ensures we prioritize safety and health and improve the quality of the work environment.”

Finally, addressing concerns about AI replacing humans, Almasi responded, “Artificial intelligence is a human creation and product, a tool in human hands. It has no function without humans.”
