OpenAI Unveils Advanced AI Models, Navigates Google Rivalry and Legal Challenges

OpenAI introduced its latest OpenAI models, GPT-5.2 Pro and GPT-5.2 Thinking. The company states these models possess advanced capabilities in mathematics and science. Strong mathematical reasoning forms a foundation for reliability in scientific and technical work. These capabilities closely link to progress toward general intelligence.

According to Jadeh Makhsoos News Agency, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has urged his team to compete fiercely with Google. Google recently introduced its new Gemini model. It makes massive investments, relying on its online advertising revenue. In contrast, OpenAI has spent tens of billions on computing infrastructure but has not yet achieved profitability.

Altman told CNBC in an interview, “We are confident we can continue to increase revenue to fund investments in computing power.” He added, “Without these infrastructure investments, we cannot drive revenue growth. Our reasons for optimism far outweigh pessimism.” The company’s strategic focus remains on developing cutting-edge OpenAI models.

Figeysimo, OpenAI’s Head of Applications, announced a new “ChatGPT Adult Mode” at a press conference. They will launch it early next year. Its goal is to improve user age verification before activation. This news follows Altman’s plans to reduce restrictions and offer more features to adult users.

Jadeh Makhsoos reports, OpenAI faces a series of lawsuits from families. They accuse the company of causing dangerous problems for teenagers interacting with its chatbots.

Simo also confirmed the company issued a “red alert” internally regarding Google’s pace of progress. However, he denied claims of rushing the release of new OpenAI models.
